For over three decades, the men and women of Kingtown Volunteer Fire Department have stood watch over our community — responding to emergencies, teaching fire safety, and looking out for one another.
About Us
Kingtown Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1992 by a group of Nacogdoches residents who believed that their community deserved a reliable, responsive fire protection service. What began as a small group of neighbors answering distress calls has grown into a well-trained, well-equipped department serving thousands across our district.
Every member of our department is a volunteer — teachers, farmers, tradespeople, and retirees who give their time and training so that you and your family can sleep safely. We respond to structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and natural disasters, and we invest heavily in ongoing training and community education.
What We Do
From emergency fire suppression to hands-on safety workshops, we offer the full range of protection and education our community needs.
Full structural and wildland fire response for homes, businesses, and outlying properties throughout our district. Rapid dispatch, fully trained crews.
Emergency medical response, vehicle extrication, and technical rescue. Our volunteers maintain current certifications and train continuously.
Free fire safety workshops for schools, senior centers, and community groups. Smoke alarm installation, escape planning, and kitchen fire prevention.
Pre-purchase fire inspections, permit processing, and code consultation for homeowners and business operators in our jurisdiction.
Station tours, National Fire Prevention Week activities, car-seat checks, and the annual open house — we're here when you need us and when you don't.
We're always looking for dedicated volunteers. No prior experience required — we provide all training. Serve your community from day one.
Get Involved
